First trip fresh water tank Vista 32ye

Just took my new 2018 Vista 32ye on a 2 day shakedown local camping trip. All went fairly well, but we were on straight city water, and the fresh water tank slowly filled up the entire time we were there. Had to drain it 2x with the “winterize” valve handle to prevent a problem. After getting off city water and starting the water pump, it only provides a very weak stream of water. Anybody have any ideas on the likely cause and fix? I’m ok if I just need to adjust something... thanks for helping.

Does the Vista have a normal/water fill valve in the water bay? If it is not all the way to normal it will slowly fill the fresh water tank.
You could have two unrelated problems.

Does the water pump come up to pressure and then turn off or does it run all the time, or run, turn off and run again in a few seconds or minutes? If you leave the water pump on do you find water leaking out onto the ground anywhere?

There should be a clear glass bulb with a screen filter in it on the input to your water pump. If it is clogged you will have low water flow.

Yes on fill valve. Pretty sure it was straight up. Pump ran ok , but now just runs (with weak stream) and doesn’t hit pressure. Don’t remember water on the ground except when I drained the tank.

Not sure about yours but I have a Sunstar. It has a valve in the bay to switch between filling the tank or using shore water. If the valve isn't completely switched it will leak by when using the water pump or hooked up to shore water and fill the tank. Or the valve could be defective.

Perhaps a stuck check valve?
