I am having problems trying to dump my fresh water tank on our 2005 Adventurer 37B. The valves in the pump compartment are a litttle different than what is pictured in the owners manual. I opened the valves and only a small amount of water (about 1 cup) will flow out. In order to empty the tank I have to operate the pump. Is this normal? There is no "T" handle dump valve that others have mentioned in previous posts. None that I can find anyway. What am I doing wrong?

Chaz, what year is your Adventurer? I used to have an '01 Adventurer, and it had a ball valve on an one and a quarter inch drain, located inside the storage compartment righ behind the entry door, if I remember correctly. Have you looked in the compartment where your fresh water tank is located? Just a thought.

I think the valves you're opening are the ones that drain the hot and cold water lines. That's why you can get water from them when you turn on the pump. The tank dump will be a much bigger line. Sorry, but since I have a different unit, I can't tell you where to look. Just go through all the external compartments - gotta be a t-handle or larger valve somewhere down there...

Forgot to mention - don't limit your search to the utility compartments. On my Journey the t-handle is in the 2nd compartment back on the passenger side. It's at the very top of the compartment and as far forward in the compartment as possible. Almost like they were trying to hide it

Thank you all for your suggestions. I will take another look to see if I can find that valve. It has got to be somewhere. Tomsm was right about the hot and cold drain lines.

Open the door that you open to fill with propane.
Look up in that compartment above and feel over to the right. Your dump valve is there.

At least that's where it is on an 04 37B.

Thanks Donavon, it was right where you said it was. No where near where the manual says it is.

On the 2003 35U, the fresh water dump value is in the compartment behind the side door, upper shelf next to the water tank,

It's funny where they put them, although there must be a reason. My '01 Adventurer is where Tomsm's is on his Journey, but in my Horizon, which is a motorhome pretty much like his Journey, the T-handle is in the water-utility compartment right next to the fill selector valve! Go figure!
