Black tank connection leaking

Hello,
We have a Minnie Winnie 27QP and on our recent trip we noticed a leak in the connection between the tank and the outlet. It looks like it is in the rubber coupler. Has anyone replaced this? Is it something that could be done by the average user or does it need to go to a service center? I think attached a photo with the part highlighted in the yellow circle. I looks like it is held on with 2 hose clamps, which in theory, seems like it is something my husband could do.

Thank you,
CS

Yes, that wouldnormally be in the DIY range with a fewtools and a bit of grit!
It may not be fun as it is a "dirty" area if we think too far?

But that is the vlave and likely has a cable, etc on the backside, so a look at that before committing to the job?
But even before that look, some thought about where exactly the leak might be, can save a lot. Is it leaking around where the metal seal are holding it, so that tightening the seal might compress the rubber and stop the leak?
Or is it leaking between the plastic parts of the valve and tightening the bolts that hold it together might do the job?

As said, its a good DIY project. Funny you brought this up, a few week ago I had the same thing happen to my gray tank connection.

First make sure you empty both tanks, it will make your job cleaner. Loosen the two hose clamps that hold the rubber connection to the pipes. What I did then was to rotate the rubber fitting, making sure that I had equal coverage on both sides of the connection. If you feel good about what you are doing you can remove the rubber all together and clean the outside of the pipes to ensure a good seal. Once the rubber piece is in place tighten the hose clamps tight so snug, do not over tighten as you could break the plastic pipe.

Good luck
