Anyone Ever Upgrade the Outside Shower Hose?

It is a nice item to use for showering off sandy feet from the beach and bathing 4 legged companions, but cheap. It also just gets in the way a lot when hooking up. In my 2014 Copper Canyon (Keystone) 5Th Wheel we had a quick disconnect hose (Blue Hose below) that was awesome. Anyone ever change the hose set up on the Winnebago Motorhomes? See Below

Use a standard shower hose from walmart/HD/Lowes

It will fit and is longer and better.

Well,
Maybe mine setup is just a bit different than yours. My outside shower hose and arrangement never does get in the way of any of the wet bay operations. It's neatly tucked to the left side of the compartment whereas, most of the business done with the large sewer hose is more to the right of the compartment. The freshwater hose is on a reel so, when it comes time for hookups, I just pull on it and it un-reels.

Now, one thing I have done is, switch the normally STIFF factory supplied shower hose for one of those ultra-pliable stainless steel corrugated ones from Lowes. It's like a mini slinky. But, either way, it still doesn't get in the way and I myself, see no real need for the quick disconnect conversion. But, what I have works for me, maybe not others.

Hose adapter

I bought an adapter that screwed onto the end of the factory shower hose. It adapted to a water hose. I can use a water hose nozzle Or put a coiled hose when needed.

I removed the broken mixer and installed hose bibs on each pipe. Now I can pressure wash in the storage yard.

Times 2. Except I put the hose fitting right on the faucet, and discarded the shower hose entirely. I like using a hose and warm water for washing the dog at the ocean, and for washing the windshield after all the summer bugs get hit!

That'd be cool, but when we're at the beach I just put a Y splitter on at the water hookup and run a separate hose for spraying off feet and beach toys. I like having that hose available on the door side rather than on the service side.

I made my own with a couple of PVC fittings from the local hardware store. My adapter screws onto the existing hose, instead of the shower head.

I also picked up the part at the hardware store, except in brass. I think it is a simple 1/2 to garden hose adapter, but check my memory...
