2002 Journey DL water pressure questions

I am having trouble with water pressure in my Winnebago Journey DL. I am going to replace the accumulator tank as it appeared to lose air from last year's fill up. That may be the sole problem, but there is a tee in the line located in the hot water tank compartment. Should the toggle on the water line point forward toward the tank? I am concerned that when I winterized, I left the toggle in the wrong position.

I am confused about some of the details of your post you say "I am going to replace the accumulator tank as it appeared to lose air from last year's fill up"

Firstly, I may be showing my ignorance here, but I am not aware of an accumulator tank on my Journey. Where is yours located?

Secondly, how long were you expecting it to hold air?

Looking forward to learning about something I am unaware of.

The accumulator tank is located in proximity to the water pump. Looks like a small holding tank, with an air valve at the top. It is suppose to have a psi of 20. Mine was losing air frequently. Hopefully, replacement will help the problem. My other question was related to the T valve located in the hot water tank compartment. It was set in the forward position, toward the water heater. I have moved it to all three positions and it didn't improve the water pressure.

Interesting, I don't have such a tank on my Journey, wonder if it was added by the owner, as for the tee valve you are referring to. Sounds like the WH bypass/normal valve, can you post a picture of it, they come in all sorts of arrangements.

I had to replace my 2G accumulator tank because the air bladder developed a leak, which made it u useless. I bought a direct replacement from Menards. It comes pre-charged to 20psi, and mine has never required adjustment-well until the air bladder developed a leak.
Check the valve core for leaking just like we did our bikes when we were kids.

That Tee valve is for winterizing, it has no effect on pressure. The water pump might be the problem or the filter just after the pump stopped up.
Another possibility is faucet aerators plugged up with mineral deposits.Soaking in vinegar overnight solves that.

Water pressure problem

Thanks to all that replied. Turns out the problem was the accumulator tank. The valve near the water heater is for winterizing and was in the bypass position. I am good to go. Great.to have this resource.
