Upgrading LR TV

I have searched back to 2012 hoping for some posts changing out the old Sony to the newer LCD's . We've enjoyed our 2006 Adventurer almost nine years. She still looks good and after some "major to me", but really minor problems. We have enjoyed several vacations and hoping for a few more! I did remove the Sony in the bedroom and replaced it with a 28" LCD adding extra storage. I am now looking for some ideas for replacing the 25" in the living room. Ours is in a cabinet. I thought I saw one that was replaced using a drawer? I have not been able to find that post. I am hoping to hear and see some remodels from some of you that have taken that challenge. Our Adventurer is a 38R the cabinet is behind the passenger chair. Nestled above a nice storage area incorporated in the cabinet.

We have a 2005 Adventurer 37B with the TV built in aft of the dinette and below the China cabinet. I replaced our Sony with a 39" LCD Samsung smart TV. I finished off the hole where the Sony was into a storage cabinet with a light attached to the ceiling of this new storage area. I stained the 1/8" veneer that I lined the walls with to match the cabinet color in the coach. I mounted the Samsung to a swivel mount that extends out and rotates for viewing anywhere forward. It also acts as the "Door" for the new cabinet. When we have the slide out retracted when we are traveling, the slide out wall holds the TV from moving around. I did the same thing with a 32" LCD Samsung in the bedroom. Also, in the front TV cabinet, I built a shelf for a Blue Ray video player and mounted it to the ceiling of the new TV cabinet and at the front where I could access it for DVD changes and easy remote control use. Word of warning on the front Sony TV......It weighs about 108 lbs, so have a friend help lift it.

FWIW, the Sony flat screen TV in your 38R is a 27".

Entertainment Center TV 27" stereo color flat-face AC w/remote, SonyŽ

The 38R is a very nice floorplan. Don't ask me how I know.

I still have my original TV but I plan to do something like this.

Litewave do you have any pics ? I want to keep the cabinet as is like you did. I like the way you trimmed the empty box, I am concerned about securing the TV when traveling. Tom N your plan looks nice! Is that a fire place under the TV? My problem would be keeping the storage space.

Thought I had pics but can't find them. I'll take more and post when I get it out of storage in a week or two.
