tv channels

i have a new 2020 micro minnie. the tv only gets channel 22 up. the tech at the dealer put a new booster in. still only channel 22 up. in the older trailers you had the crank up antenna you could turn to get reception. on this one it is a round one on the roof and no way to turn it from inside. anyone else have this problem? if so how do i get it corrected??

On my 2019 there's a button you need to push near where the cable comes out to go to the TV. That activates a signal booster and has a light on it. Yours may be different though because mine the antenna part can be turned, but it doesn't have the lights on the part you turn to give you some idea of signal (which seems like a stupid feature in any event since signals can come from different directions).

It could also be possible you're either having your TV scan wrong.

Should be a mention of turning on an amplifier somewhere in the manual but what I would expect to find is a small button on the faceplate of where the coax meets another like a cable or DVR setup as a type of switch from one to the other. If like some, it may be terrible to spot as it is about 1/8 inch fit into the faceplate and in a dark compartment overhead.
Knowing how to do the scan on each new TV is also a trick all of it's own and varies with the TV. Should have a book on the TV that came with the new RV.

1-rescan for channels
2-be sure booster is om
3-could it be there are no signals on channels 2–21? where are you located?

Did the dealer show you how everything works when you picked the travel trailer up? They are required to give you a lengthy demonstration of all aspects of the RV. That’s called a PDI or Pre-Delivery Inspection. Did you also get an Operator’s Manual?

tv signal

thanks for the replies. yes the booster button in on. as a matter of fact they replaced the booster thinking that was the problem. unfortunately the tech didn't check it out after he replaced.
i ran the scan mode on the tv a couple of times.

you said you can turn the antenna. where do you turn it? from inside trailer? in the older trailers you had the crank up one and could turn to get better signal.

I know when I scan for channels on my RV's TVs I have a choice to scan Analog or Digital or Both. Does you're TV offer this choice?

Here's a link to the FCC website that will detail what you stations should be available at your location (zip code). That might be a good place to start:

Assuming your TT is parked at your home, which it may not be, I looked at your location in your Profile here.

Here's is the listing of channels you should receive. Very few below #22 Green means easy to receive, yellow and orange less so.

What link is that from? I found this, but yours looks better.

https://www.rabbitears.info/market.p...arket&mktid=18

One other thing to consider is either link doesn't deal with orientation of the antenna. Some channels might be broadcast from antennas at 90 degree angles from each other.

Could be a defective TV tuner. Do you have a spare TV? Try another one connected to the booster.
