Hello room... I have had an offer to purchase a used Gen 1 (round dish) Starlink setup. The seller, a good friend of mine, is finally getting fiber cable installed to his rural residence so the Starlink no longer required. Right now he has a Residential Service plan that I understand can be transferred to a new customer pending approval by Starlink. My question is can I then change the Residential Plan to the (non reversible) RV plan? Can I do this with the Gen 1 setup? Starlink is notoriously difficult to contact for answers...
We just added "portability" for our Starlink Gen2 for $25/mo. Can also activate and de-activate. Has worked great on the roof of our trailer so far, but we've always had a clear line to it's satellite. Speed has been good for streaming YouTube TV, and both my wife and I online concurrently. Forget any help from Starlink, search online.
Hi Henry,
IWe use our SL at home and in our trailer. It would be handy to have a second setup, but I have no idea if this is possible with only one account. Why have you decided to sell your SL?
Take care,
John Larson
