Smartwheel radio control

I have a 2011 Winnebago Tour 42QD. The smartwheel mounted radio control module is inop. I've checked all the connections and changed the batteries. Still nothing. Has anyone had this problem? Is this control module available?

If you have replaced the batteries, first make sure the IR sensor below the steering wheel did not fall off or something and also make sure the steering wheel is not turned too much, also because of IR sensor position.

Yep, did all that. With the wheel centered and the module pointing at the ir sensor, still nothing.
Has anyone ever had to replace the module?

I have done the replacement, pretty simple. Lichtsinn in Forest City sold me a new one for roughly $50, works great now.

FYI to anybody who has a 2011 Tour with the steering wheel mounted remote control for the radio: this part is obsolete and the manufacturer no longer makes it nor do they have an alternative part. New Tours have a totally different part from a different manufacturer. I bought one of the last OEM units abailable from Winnebago Customer Parts (they have three more as of yesterday). If you have an issue with the remote, now is the time to buy a replacement. Once they're gone, they are gone.

Are you sitting in the seat or standing when you test it. I was told at the factory that sometimes when sitting your body blocks the IR. Try it standing and see if it works. If it does then the problem is the sensor position. It it does not then you have a bad module.

Module was not broadcasting IR. Replaced with new module (see post above). Working now.
