Rear Radio

Has anyone had this problem. The radio in the bedroom works fine until you turn on the galley lights and then it goes off. When you turn it (the radio) back on it will go off and on continueously

Nope! Maybe some RFI from the galley light, is it a florescent? Try new lamps.

I have a perfectly good rear radio/cd/etc combination that I took out of my '06 Adventurer. If you find that your radio is on the fritz and you need a new one, maybe I can help.

I found that I couldn't live with the unintentional off/on whenever I bumped it and the housing served a much better cabinet for my remote, earplugs, clock, etc, etc.

We are on the road for a few more weeks, but will be back home in late March.

Regards

its either RF noise simulating the remote, or you have a 12V problem.

We had an RF problem when I installed a flat screen TV in the bedroom. The volume and channel control for the new remote for the TV would turn on the radio and created all sorts of radio control issues. Also, I would routinely inadvertently turn on the radio by bumping into it with the pillow or my arm.

So, my fix was to pull the radio and find the 12v. power wire. I soldered in wiring for a small rocker switch which I cut into to the face of the wood housing. Simple fix which took no more than an hour. Frankly, we seldom use the radio.
