Rear/l-side camera inoperative

My cameras have mysteriously failed to come alive in our 2013 42QD after a 1 month lay over. They worked as expected on our drive, and then we parked and stayed in the same spot, didn't move. Today the cameras would not come on upon starting up to travel again. I have the rear camera assigned to the aux. monitor and the side cameras activate the radio display. Any similar experiences with others? Thanks for suggestions or cures.

Any animals crawling around under the dash? I've heard of a cat inadvertently pulling wires out while searching under and inside of the dash.

Related, my Sony rear view monitor shows a blue screen after a 20 day stop, but the cameras work just fine on my radio display. 2013 Journey.

My 2015 Itasca had a problem with intermittent cameras. Discovered it was in the wiring to the Rivermark Infotainment System. There was a multi-pin plug that had come partially undone. Even plugged in, it was loose. A little electrical tape solved that.

Thanks All for the replies. I got in touch w/River Mark (?) and with their help determined the camera switch relay in the upper dash console is probably defective. They are sending a replacement free of charge. We are on the road at present, so when it catches up to us I'll have a final answer. MK

I don't know the make or model of your MH, ours is a 2013 Winn. Tour. As such, the access is pretty simple: there are 4 screws on the underside of the gauge console "eyebrow". Remove them and slide the eyebrow toward the steering wheel. The electronic switch, about the dimension of a credit card and about 1/4" thick, is closer to the windshield, and has several plug connectors that are well labeled. There is also a small (approx 3/4" sq.) interface wired inline from the switch to the infotainment unit. Not sure of the function of this device, but it's wired in. If you need more room to maneuver behind the dash, you can remove the 5 or 6 screws that hold the large portion of the dash cover in place and wrestle that sucker off. Hope this helps, I will report on the success/failure of my fix. Good luck. MK
