Our video window

Due to the floorplan, our Sunstar lacks curb side windows.

The TV is where one would otherwise be, just aft of the entry door.

After a lot of thought and exploration and Internet searching, I figured out how to make a video window.

The porch light is right outside and just below the bottom of the cabinet over the TV. I carefully measured and test drilled and managed to get a hole from inside the cabinet to the insde of the wiring cavity in the wall behind the porch light.

I found a 3/4 inch diameter camera on-line. After a lot of work, here is the result.

Cool idea. Does it have infra red night vision?

I would like to have that gadget out the back of my rig. Can you send me the link to where to buy it?

Keep in mind that if you want to use it as a rear view camera, rather than a "window", this one does not reverse the image.

It has a 120 degree wide angle lens, so there is a little pincushion distortion at the edges.

You would also have to hardwire the video output to the front of your rig.
You might want to search for wireless rear view cameras.
