New TV

Hi! I'm looking for a new 32" Led Lcd Tv that has variable audio outputs for my Winnebago. Any Suggestions?
Thanks!

32 inch vizio hd tv

We installed a Vizio HD TV about three years ago in the front of the RV cabin. Have traveled about 15,000 miles since then with no problems. Works just great with Directv and our 18 inch small dish. No HD. Also get local HD on air stations in lots of locations. Have never been without Directv in traveling almost 60,000 miles over the last seven years. Great service. Stay in touch.
Regards,
JimB

I am not sure what you mean "variable audio outputs". Do you want to be able to control the volume with the TV or Sat box controller? Or, do you want to control the vol. from the TV set vol. control?

I purchased a Vizio 32" last Nov & it has the variable audio out. The variable audio out allows the output volume to an old style Winnebago surround sound to be adjusted using the TV remote.

Hi - What feature do I look for in the Tech Specs of a TV I'm looking at to tell if it has a variable volume output? When I look at some I'm not sure what to look for and I'm sure the different brands will each call it something different.

lavamanz - Do you have your model number handy of the one you bought last year?

Thanks

The TV I purchased is Vizio E320i-A0 (Walmart $298), the advanced audio settings menu is where you'll find if it has the variable audio out. If you find the manual for the TV it will be in there also. For my TV in the advanced audio section it states:
Analog Audio Out - Sets the volume control properties for the analog RCA (red/white) connectors when connected to a home theater audio system.
Select Variable to control the external speakers’ volume from the TV’s volume
controls.

From the TV stereo audio out jack I connected a 3.5mm adapter to the Q-Surround amp (DHS MTSAMP-03) mounted in my 1999 Itasca. The original TV output was only mono and I had to make a change in the pinout on the plug on the amp for it to work with the stereo out. I read about this here on the forum, the company that made the amp is Riverpark so I contacted them and Michael Oconnell instructed me on the pin change. River Park, Inc.

Another TV I found while researching for the variable audio out was the Sony 32" model 32EX340.

I found a Phillips 32" LED that has the mini jack audio output. Bought an adapter to convert to RCA plugs to connect to the DHS. It works fine with the TV remote. My 32" Samsung didn't work as the outputs are not variable. The external speaker setting disables the volume control on that one.

I used a Vizio 32" LED set in my Vectra: Front LCD TV install in 2005 Vectra (Long). It doesn't have variable audio out, but I just transferred the Winnebago 'wart'/filter from the old Sony set to the speakers on the new one and it works great.

I replaced mine with a Sony. Both these 32" Sony's have what you want.

Hope this helps.
