Magnadyne radio
My front Magnadyne radio just quit, no power. The fuse in the floor box is ok. How do I remove the radio from the dash to check for an inline fuse? I see the four tabs on the side, but they do not seem to give for extraction.

Radio
If you have the black bag with manuals there should be two u shaped hooks that will fit in those four holes that should release the radio maybe the manual will have a picture good luck

Yes Sir,
If you were fortunate enough to have received all the manuals and, a small compliment of "tools" for the radio removal, then that's all that's needed to get that beast out of there. Different radios use different types of "release keys" to remove them. So, if you've got the keys, you can simply insert one on each side and they will release a barb that holds the radio in place.
If I recall, my Magnadyne did the same thing quite a while back. I tried one thing before I went in the removal etc. of it. There's a reset button or hole in or on the front end of the radio. Maybe you might find out what's needed to activate a reset before doing a removal. Just a thought here. Good luck and, report back if you find that it worked or not.

If the entire radio has to be replaced, I found it easier to just remove the dash cover in my Journey. Also found that there was an inline fuse under the dash cover.

Suggest you not bother trying to get the Magnadyne radio operational
Rather get a good one from Crutchfield or similar place
Magnadyne is close to the bottom of the barrel available today

Thank you all, especially thank you Fire Up: Reset, what a wonderful idea, after a sleepless night think about my options I read your post, grabbed my trusty paperclip, and pushed in that little rest button. The light came on, a DVD popped out, and my radio is again working. Fantastic. As for quality, I wear hearing aids, if I don't while driving I tend to ignore my wife (not a good thing) if I wear them while driving I pick up every little rattle and bounce, so sound quality is a thing of the past, it is just musical noise in the background, but I did miss it this trip.
Happy Trails all and thanks again.

Kalynzoo,
You're certainly welcome Sir. Glad I could be of assistance. Every once in a while, I get to help someone on here. That's cool. So many electrical devices now days have a "reset" button to jolt them back into normalcy.
Good luck.

I attempted to call Magnadyne for info re: a replacement radio and recommendations.
Called 800-638-3600 with no luck? Any and all suggestions are welcome. I have a 2004 Sightseer 30b. Checked fuses (inline fuse?) and all are okay and the radio is getting power.

Well you asked for so here it is....The Magnadyne unit wouldn't even make a good boat anchor! Our rig came with the M1-LCD. The nav unit couldn't be upgraded because the company that provided the mapping went belly up and the system couldn't be upgraded. Since we had just purchased our rig and Jayco sold the Magnadyne piece of junk I was able to get Jayco to furnish us the newer Magnadyne M4-LCD, piece of junk #2. The nav system is maintained by Navteq (a reputable company, I think). I'm going to disable our side view cameras from the unit very soon because the M4-LCD will cycle away from the nav sysytem when I signal to make a turn. If I had the funds to just replace the unit I would in an instant! But that's for another day!
