Installing tv in bedroom of 2018 22R

Before I make a mistake for which I’ll have to answer to my wife, I’d like to know if any of you have installed a tv mount/tv in the bedroom of your rig (2018 22R), and if so, how you found a suitable stud. It seemed simple enough at first, but then I started watching YouTube videos, and now I don’t know. Winnebago Corp. tried to help by giving me a diagram of the area, but I can’t make sense of it.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Bingley,
I found this older thread which also discusses mounting a TV for the bed area of a 22R.
In looking at the Drawing which Winnebago provided, I note that the dimensions are in millimeters; not inches. I see in View A that two vertical reinforcement strips are installed on the inside of the cabinet, but their location is vaguely defined.
Can you go to a local dealership to see where the TV mounts are located on another 22R? If you do a test drilling with a very small bit, you should be able to use wood putty to fill-in a "miss."
Welcome to the forum.

Upon looking at the drawing and a floor plan of your rig, it seems the wall you want to attach the tv to is the frig wall. Correct

I did not see anything on the drawing that would support a tv. When I removed the frig from my unit for repairs the side walls only had support at the corners.

If I were you to keep DW happy I would remove the frig. add cross framing to the side of the wall you need enforced. Or do your cross framing on the out side going from front to back. You would be attaching the framing to the corners pieces of the cabinet. For this project more is better, because there will be alot of bouncing for the tv and frame as you go down the road.

Good luck
