I just got done having a 32" HTDV installed in my Adventure 37G. Take a look here:
http://www.bobhatch.com/MotorhomeMod...tall/index.htm

The work was done by Davis Cabinets. The link shows a step by step of the removal of the old, and installation of the new.

The HDTV has an NTSC and ATSC tuner, and can pick up over the air digital signals at 1080i.

We are really happy campers.

Wow, Bob!! Fantastic looking job! I want one too - except the fuel to Oregon and back would cost as much as their job.

Anybody know of a shop closer to Florida that does that good a job. I had been thinking of finding a HD model with bottom speakers that would be a decent fit for the existing cabinet. But new cabinets done for the new set is soooo much nicer!

Congratulations!

That looks fantastic. In our 34V the TV is in the corner on the passenger side. I like the center arrangement better, as it is hard to watch TV from the recliner. Thought about doing something similar - Maybe need to find the cabinets from a 37G and modify and install them.

That's one great job. I've seen a lot of Davis Cabinets work, they are the best.
Good choice!

Bob,

I'm with Tony. Between you and John Canfield we can all come up with enough projects to keep us busy for a while (like we don't have enough already!). Thanks for the look at the new TV. I have been contemplating something similar and the drawers under your new sofa gave me an idea to replace the false front on the factory sofa in my Tour.

Keep up the postings and the updating...we are all watching and learning!

Boy does that look great! However I would get some of those little rubber balls to put on the corner. I seem to like to hit my head on them a lot! Hubby had to be taken to the hospital for a concussion that he gave himself hitting one of those corners...
I love it...I wish they were closer to me.
We did put a 26 inch in our bedroom by ourselves. It doesn't look as nice as that 32" thou

Bob,

Can you provide more details on the TV itself?

Did you replace the DVD player too?

Thanks to everyone. Like I said, we really enjoy the new TV.

To vicsryd, the TV is an Emerson 32" LCD HDTV. It has both NTSC and ATSC tuners, so no set top boxes required for over the air HDTV. I replaced both the DVD and VCR with a Go Video combination a couple of years ago.

The set has:
2 S-video inputs
2 composite inputs (L/R/V)
2 component inputs (R/G/B L/R)
1 cable input
1 HDMI input with L/R

1 L/R audio output
1 digital audio output

1000/1 contrast ratio, etc.

I bought it at Wal-Mart online, and had it shipped to Davis Cabinets. It's not a top of the line TV, but does what we want, and has a pretty good picture.

If you want to see it close up and personal, we're here in Milwaukie, OR until June 15th. Send an email to bobhatch at bobhatch dot com, and I'll give you an address.
