DTV Genie Minie 2 Satellite setup?

This week I'm getting some DTV upgrades to a Genie Minie 2 setup with 2 boxes, one that I will take in the RV and use with my Winegard Carryout antenna. My existing setup works ok, when I go out I reset the options from SWM to Multi Switch. Don't care about HD when camping. DTV said this new system will work, do I still need an adapter?

Follow up on my other post, I just had a new DVR installed as wanted but could not use the Genie setup. The remote boxes need the master to make them work. They gave me a new DVR that syncs with my other 2 boxes but it's not the newer Genie wireless setup. I still have my two old boxes and one will go with me in the RV as before. I just set the box for Multi switch when I put it in the Rv, single 18" antenna (option 2) and it works fine.

Jerry,

You might need a "B Band" converter when you setup to use multi switch. I did with my gear at home versus the SWM in the coach.

It works fine by just resetting the sat settings to multi switch instead of swm. I've been doing it for several years but I have to use the older style boxes, which work fine in the RV or at home. I'm just getting ready to get a new led tv to replace the old CRT in the coach. That should be fun.
