Just cut the cable at home and had Dish installed. Wondering if can just take the hopper 3 from the house and use in our 36 G Forza, equipped with the already installed Wineguard Traveler on the roof????
Would we still have to pay the extra $7.00 monthly fee?
We have a Wally in the RV already ,but would like the dvr feature in the H3
Same question for the house super Joey from the house.

Pretty sure you’ll need to modify the trav’ler to use it with the Hopper. Do a Google search “dish hopper with winegard trav'ler”.
You can add a DVR to your Wally. You buy a hard disk and connect it via USB. You have to pay Dish a one time $40 fee to activate DVR functions on the Wally.

The Traveler will have to be modified for the Hopper. Being able to record 16 channels at one time is a plus. The Wally is limited to two recordings if not watching a channel. One if watching.
