Backup camera - after market

Hi all,

Lily, my sweet '88 Sunflyer, is not equipped with a backup camera. Any recommendations for an after-market option?

Thanks!

Naomi

Hi Naomi,
How about a Garmin RV 890 8" RV GPS Navigator with a BC 35 Backup Camera?

We've been very pleased with our Yakry Y27 HD from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
$139 and you get a second camera FREE just for asking the vendor once you've received the initial order. Outstanding and quick/multiple responses and help from the vendor.

I use one of the cameras on a magnetic back to temporarily stick on pickup tailgate for aligning ball to hitch (works beautifully), and the second permanently mounted at the back of the trailer on the "prepped for" cover. Very easy install (about 1 hour for the rear cam) and picture quality is outstanding, far exceeding OEM back up cameras.

As with all the Winnebago "prepped for camera" installations, the power underneath that cover on rear of trailer comes from the running lights, so the camera only works when the running lights are on (not a bad idea anyway, and fortunately, my truck shuts off all external lights after several minutes of inactivity, so I don't have to worry about running down the battery)

Wow! That was quick. It came at nine last night. First glance it looks well made and with lots of parts to mount it with.
I didn't realize Amazon worked at night. No knock on the door but our door bell camera caught him delivering it.

Who did you contact to get the second camera? I tried their web address and it doesn't work.

Got am email that they have already shipped the second camera. Seems like a great company. I took the system up to my shop today and hooked it up to 12 volt. Everything works as advertised.

Our coach is still stored in our shed so it will be a week or two before I get it out and install it. I think I will replace the rear camera with the new one, and face the second one foreword. I then will place the receiver on the dash. It's not a good fit to go in where the old screen is.

Second camera came today. I'm going to try and mount it this weekend. I'll let you know how the pairing goes.

I took the system out to the shed and wired it to 12 volt to test it out. I didn't mount it, I just set it on the dash and had the camera behind the unit in the dark. It worked as advertised.

Did you get it paired? It did take me a while but I have mine paired now.
I had to reread the directions a few times. I kept thinking it was a touch screen and it isn't. And it took me a couple of times to get it right that when the pairing started I had to unpower the camera and repower it, then be patient and wait.
If you want to split the screen you need to select it from the menu and then cycle through the channels before the split screen appears.

Yakry

Purchased and installed the Yakry yesterday. Very high quality and image for half the price. Second camera on the way.

Thanks to Pauldridge for the recommendation.

I will order one and love the idea of two camera's.
