Just got back on the forum as I sold my house and now consider myself homeless or full timer, you choose. Want to go H D. in my 2005 Itasca 40 AD but not too sure how involved it might be. Have the TV,s set up but using old style roof antenna and use Directv as my provider. Using GMail as my email so not real handy with it as well.
Well... I'll start you out. You need a good DirecTV HD Satellite Dish. I like the Travler SWM 3 auto locating dish. It is expensive $1500-2000, but well worth it if you are an avid TV watcher like me.
I agree with the Previous poster. The Winegard Trav'ler is the way to go if you want HD TV. I have pictures of my friend's front TV conversion to flat screen HD. Click Here We have been very happy with our system.

We bought our Trav'ler from PPL for $1300 shipped, but it was for Dish - Direct is a bit more expensive.

In addition to an HD capable dish you'll also need an HD capable receiver. We ran into the same situation in our sticks and bricks house. We went to an HD TV then had to also upgrade the receiver and the dish.
On our motorhome we have the Winegard Trav'ler and a Direct TV H24 receiver.
You will need to make sure the TV wiring will handle the HD signal. We had some issues with signal loss in the S/B and was caused by outdated cable.( installed 1999)
