2014 Ellipse 42QD Infotainment upgrade

I’m looking to upgrade the main radio, video camera multimedia screen in the drivers dash. I currently have the original Winnebago unit.
I’m curious what others have done, what’s available and any DIY options. Thanks!

I bought the updated model from Riverpark (same company who built the OEM stuff) - did the install myself with their tech support (which was good). The new system works well - does updates by WiFi. There are a few differences in models but all the necessary functions are available and work well.

Questions welcomed...

Randy (Pilotguy).
Winnebago changes from one brand of infotainment to another pretty frequently. The response you received above from Lv2Roam2 sounds like he has the Xite infotainment system from Riverpark and he assumes you do too. But when I looked at the 2014 Ellipse's Operator's Manual I see that you likely have a completely different system with a Jenson "radio" and a separate Sony "Camera/GPS".

So, it will help us all help you if you can get specific about what system you have. These two systems have entirely different monitor sizes and locations and so it's hard to guess what we could suggest to you that might fit your RV.

HI, I have an issue with my 2014 10" XSG2NA. It has a Bluetooth issue that RiverPark is unable (or unwilling) to try and resolve given the year model). Can you provide details on the upgraded version you purchased? Version and pricing? Thanks!

The last I heard the cost of the revised Core Unit was $1200. And some said they had to upgrade the monitor at additional cost as well on their older model.

You should call Riverpark to get their pricing for your RV.

I remember the cost at ~ $1700 for core unit and monitor plus some connecting cables - you will also need a dongle to work the wi-fi connection. This all comes from Riverpark and ask for the operation manual (and I think that includes the installation manual). Get to know the tech support folks - they'll be very helpful...
