Tire Rotation - Sprinter Chassis

I am the second owner of a 2018 Navion 24J with 15,700 miles on a MB Sprinter chassis. It has never had the tires rotated. The MB owner's manual suggests tire rotation every 6,000 miles by changing the front tires with the two interior rear tires. I contacted a local commercial tire service company and they said that interior tires wear differently and recommended I do not rotate them. I called the local MB Sprinter service center and the service manager did not have an answer as to tire rotation with an RV coach on the chassis. He simply did not know. Winnebago customer service refers back to MB. Has anyone rotated the front with interior back tires as MB owner's manual suggests? Thanks.

Well, I don't have experience with that chassis but do have some thoughts on tire rotation.
So why do we rotate tires? I always thought it WAS because tires in different locations DO wear differently! What is the purpose of rotating tires if not to change the wear patterns before they get too severe and the tire has to be replaced?
But then, it's not hard to get bad advise, whether it is mine or their, is the question.
But just on what I know, it sounds like the tire guy was just not too inspired! Maybe too hot that day?

Check the Sprinter Source Forum. They have specific Sprinter RV info. Here's a link to a Tire Rotation discussion.
