Weighed our 03 Sightseer today. We were only able to weigh the front and rear not each corner. The front weighed 5380 and the rear 9940. We have goodyear 245/70/19.5 tires. When I checked the goodyear chart for recommended inflation pressure I found nothing to match my weights. Did we get a bad weight reading or am I not reading the chart correctly? Any help would be appreciated. Just trying to get a little better ride. By the way, the shocks were replaced with Bilsteins the other day.

Do you have F, G or H rated tires?
And what is the High PSI on the sidewall?

Did you have a full fuel tank?
Any fresh water you carry when traveling?

According to page 2 of the Goodyear RV Inflation Tables pdf, with a front weight of 2690#/tire and a rear weight of 2485#/tire you should be able to run 70 PSI in all of your tires (the lowest value in the table). Even if you were at your maximum GVWR of 18,000# you would still be OK with that tire pressure.

That depends on when the tire was manufactured, if after 2/28/06 then the min. the OP should run is 80 psi front and rear. That's also in the chart linked above.

So are dividing the front by 2 for two tires and the rear by 4 because of duals?

And so he can then run 70#'s per tire and by running the lowest #'s this will give him a better ride, and the more air in a tire will produce a harder ride? Do I understand this now?

Most tire charts are not set up that way but the one linked to is.

OP still needs to let us know about the tire date as per my earlier post.

Yes, thanks for catching that. 80# all around sounds like what you'll want--even if you have tires older than 2/28/06 it wouldn't hurt anything.

They have a 07 date,so 80# sounds right. Thanks everyone.
