Parking Brake Repair Old or Replace with new

Hey all! We have a 2001 Itasca Suncruiser on Workhorse Chassis p37. I have read many online posts about problems with parking brake. Ours is needing a replacement of the brake rotors around driveshaft for sure as it locked up and wore them to nothing and they do not hold. We are used to doing many of our own repairs and considering a replacement with a new system than the one that came with it. Any suggestions? Also tough to find someone who knows about this rv..the brake people were stumped on how to repair and when I looked.on line found alot of info about the defects in this particular brake set up. So if we are going to put the time and $ into it...would like to do something that will last. Thanks for any help.

I had a 2003 Workhorse chassis and a couple years ago, I got the recall done on the front brakes. The big Chevrolet dealer in Sacramento knew all about the Workhorse chassis. Chevy dealers might be worth looking into.
