New tires, or wait another year or two?

Is it time for new tires? My 2016 Sunstar LX 27N has Goodyear tires, which I assume are the original equipment (I bought the Sunstar used). The date code is the 37th week of 2015 and they have 15,000 miles on them. They've been covered when not rolling and treated twice yearly with Aerospace 303 since I've owned it. So come September they'll be five years old. They show no signs of rot or cracking. Should I replace them?

I just replaced my Michelins with about 45,000 miles on them. The date code indicated they were 8 years old. They had a lot of tread on them but had some sidewall cracking on them, I don't normally cover them but spray dupont 303 on them often. The general rule of thumb is about a 7 year replacement. It is your choice as to replace or not, but I would keep going with them and keep a good eye on them.

All tires weather differently due to different weather, so I look at each tire and if in doubt and well past the age recommended I may ask a spro but I have never changed tires only due to age as my weathering has always been somewhat moderate.
Where, when, and how you drive and react can also play a part in the decision. If you drive and certainly want to avoid a flat or blowout, or if you are not used to how to handle a blowout, the economics become different. I've driven old company truck tires and had blowouts and do not worry too much as I feel ready if it happens but I am also older and do not want to change a tire on the roadside, so I tend to spend more money now than when I was younger! New tires are often safer but also expensive!
