Talking need advice on new tires-load range

Hi all! We picked up our "new to us" 2018 Winnebago Minnie Drop 1790. After bringing it home hubby noticed a plug in one of the tires. He checked it and its leaking. It appears that the tire is dated 11th week of 2016, so we would be more comfortable replacing both tires.

The size is 205/75R15 and says load range "C'.

Would it be better to change to a load range "D". Is it ok to do that? We called Firestone and he told us that a "C" is a better choice. That doesn't seem right to me, but I am a total and complete noob. Thanks for your help

Becky

A load range D will be a stiffer tire, but since it is illegal to ride in the trailer, there should be nobody back there to notice. Beware of tires manufactured in China. Amongst the RV community, they are commonly referred to as "China Bombs". I have an American made brand that I prefer, but don't advertise for anyone.

Thanks Mtn Charlie. We are looking at American made tires, I believe and think we wil go up to a D from our current C.
