Has anyone used or had any experience with the motion control units for air bag suspensions that are sold by Henderson's Line-up in Grants Pass, Oregon? They are supposed to help eliminate the rocking back and forth that air bag suspensions do on uneven surfaces.

As a matter of fact I talked to them and a chassis shop in Central Florida (RV Chassis Master) about suspension-enhancement products last week.

The story from Henderson is that the Freightliner air suspension control valves apparently can let too much air escape in an attempt to level the coach and you could wind up with a rocking motion. Henderson said you might have a problem if you notice your coach "porpoising" down the highway (rocking fore and aft) or when going slowly and changing pavement heights and the coach rocks left and right drametically. I didn't completely follow the problem description and mechanics - after a few minutes my eyes were starting to glaze over.

From what Henderson described, none of these situations applied to my coach's performance (fortunately) so I decided I wasn't a candidate for their valves.

If you are a WIT member there is an add in the book from Rallys our us. He installs some valves that stops the rocking. I don't have them but know a person who has and said it works great. About $500 bucks installed. He also owns a Journey as we do. Ours rocks might look into them at the next GNR.

Also look into the kit offered by 3-T's RV Products, Inc. (http://www.3tsrv.com) For the 2003 and newer Journey, Meridian, Vectra and Horizon they have developed an Anti-Rocking kit that will minimize side to side rocking motion.

(Mention their ad in the WIT Club News magazine for a 10% discount) <G>

I've tried Rallysrus on their web site but all it shows is a phone number, no explanation or pictures of what their product is or what it does. 3-T's web site indicates they change the shocks and sway bars, pretty extensive work. The literature I've seen on Hendersen shows a small cylinder installed in the air line at each air bag to restrict the raplid change of air pressure - seems like a more simple solution to the rock and roll. Thanks for all the input.

Rallysrus and Henderson's must be the same thing, both are a little cylinder that I understand all four will fit in one hand. I suppose like everything newly developed, until the sales really picks up the price is high. You can order them from Henderson's and install them yourself (if you can find the air lines and have the guts to cut them) whereas Rallysrus will install them in 15-20 minutes at the rallys he attends. Just have to know which ones he goes to. Both prices comparable, but one is an installed price. Still hoping to find someone with actual experience on their Freightliner chassis.
