Hi whb, I went to your profile and see you have a 2003 Itasca Suncruiser 38'

http://www.mobilityrv.com/ - this outfit is a sponsor and may be able to help you.

Had the same problem with center lite on my rig....got a new one from Mobility RV (www.Winnebagoparts.com). I gave them my rig serial # and they found the part # quickly.

I followed my coach home earlier this week and .... about that center mount stop lamp - although mine is clouded somewhat in appearance the dual row of LEDs is still quite bright. So it's still working quite well in bright daylight. At night without question it should be highly visible.

I'm on my second lamp but the 2nd is just as cloudy as the first and if I were to change it again I'm thinking that it would just get cloudy all over again. I wish the material were the same stuff that the taillights are made from then it wouldn't cloud up.

The lens of my third brake light is faded too, but I have no plans to replace it. I suspect a replacement might fade too unless they have changed the construction. The LEDs inside my light are red, so when the brake lights come on the third brake light is bright red ...that works for me!

I seem to remember an earlier discussion on this problem and some one found a way to polish the light back to original luster. I have kept a piece of split tubing over mine while it sets idle in storage. I have not lost the original luster. It appears the sun is the "Great Decider" on the finish.

I "declouded" mine last summer pretty well by going the sequence of rubbing compound, poslishing compound and finally 600 sandpaper. I'm putting F-21 on it now to see if that will slow down the effects of UV.

Sounds like we are talking about two different problems?? My lens is not "cloudy." It just isn't red anymore. The red plastic has pretty much lost its red tint.

We have had our center brake light replaced under warrenty one time, it is now time for another one. It works fine, but looks really bad, we are no longer under warenty so this one will be on us. Looking to be a once a year thing! They just dont last.
