Any suggestions on Goodyear G670 tires

I am currently running Michelin XZE 275/80R 22.5 tires, it was suggested that I switch to Good Year G670 RV MRT tires. The price is a lot different, lower. The Michelin's are starting to crack on the fire walls, just one tire so far that I can see, and only about an inch, so probably not in a rush unless someone out there feels I am. The tires are 6 years old with 24000 miles.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

While I have not replaced my RV tires yet (only 4-yrs old) I do follow posts about RV Tires.

I have seen quite a few negative comments about Goodyear's RV tires. I can't say if they are true, I just know I've seen tire threads where folks removed their new Goodyears because of noise and harsh ride.

Recently, there have been a number of positive comments about Toyo RV Tires and Hankook RV Tires.

Also, be aware that lots of sellers offer kind of off-brand Semi-Truck tires at super low prices.

And, if ordering online you'll find some low prices that are too good to pass up, but when the tires arrive they have old DOT build dates making them a really bad purchase. Some online stores will offer a guarantee build date to insure you get fresh tires.

My thoughts on tires will vary with the different users. If we are in the group which moves a lot and puts lots of miles like more than 15,000 a year on tires, we need to look at different factors than if we are the occasional user who may only put 20,000 on in 6-8 years!
So all advise on tires is something to run through how you expect to use the RV and that may change what you want to spend on tires.

If high mileage is important, then paying more upfront to get that mileage may be important but if you are like me, that high mileage in not going to happen, so the tires will "age" out before they wear out.

I'm fine with the Goodyear G670 which came on the 2015 we have currently and when/if they begin to show need for change like cracking, I will likely go back with the same as I would expect the next set not to wear out while in my use but gradually just get older---as I am, also!

Thanks Morick,

Good points, I plan on using this a lot more than it has in the past.
