If you can't find one, a small stepladder works and can be used to clean the windshield, etc.

We have one. It has a strange "C" shaped aluminum casting that hooks onto the lower rung of the fixed ladder. I've stopped using it. I do not trust the shape or "beefiness" of the casting. I do not trust the stability of it when climbing up.

We purchased a Gorilla brand aluminum 5.5 footstep ladder at Home Depot. Exactly fits the storage area designed for the OEM removable ladder section. Stable platform for reaching the bottom rung of the fixed ladder. Plus, excellent for washing windshields, or whatever ladder needs you may have.

Go to Camping world and look at item "6' Compact Folding Step Ladder
Catalog Item # 20318" I carry that ladder which folds up to a very compact size and fits well in the storage area. It is tall enough to get you up to your permanent ladder and will also get you high enough to clean windshields, etc. I have had it since 2007 and no problems with it at all.

HI, I've got one that came off of a 2004 Meridian that is listed on irv2.com in the classified adds. I'm headed your direction in a few days.

I just looked, I've got it listed for $25 and I could tie it down on my trailer. I'll be going through Alamogordo in less than 2 weeks if all goes well as far as weather and travel experiences.

You can go through Winnebago Ind and speak to an advisor who will look it up for you.

https://winnebagoind.com/

Check the on-line parts listing for your coach and then call the closest Winnebago Dealer or search for the part number on-line:
http://www.winnebagoind.com/service/.../7wkp34hsh.pdf

The parts listing for the 2007 Journey 34H shows it as LADDER - LOWER - 47.6"/4 STEP W/DOG LEG - HINGED STANDOFF part number 150785-01-01A.

So sorry I didn't get back to this thread sooner. I have one off off a 2008 Winnebago. it is for the wide steps, not just a bar type step. The hook is actually an upside down "U" off center at the top. The bottom has a swig out foot to place against the MH.

It will be some time before we get out to NM way.

If you are interested I'll get a picture or two in the next couple days.

Merry Christmas to all.

Replacement lower ladder section

If you would still like to have the OEM ladder section, contact an RV salvage facility. They should have lots of them on salvaged Winnies.
