Hi Erroll & Mary,
Because the bulk of the 22Ms are ordered with the E-350 Chassis, you might need to factory-order one. Good luck in your search.

I'm guessing you are right. Unfortunately, I can't afford a new factory fresh E-450 22M.

For that reason, I'll probably have to get a Jayco 22J or 22C. Both of those are built on either Ford's E-450 chassis, or on Chevy's 4500 chassis.

There is also the Thor 22FE, from which Winnebago emulated the 22M. I was not impressed with the Thor cabinetry quality.
If you walk into an RV Dealer in November, you might be able to get a great deal on a 22M Factory Order; that is what I did.
Thanks, Eagle5

Thanks again for this reply. One problem with Freedom Elites is none come with a fiber glass cap over the front seams of the overhead bunk. For me, that is a definite deal killer.

Can i ask why the 450 only, I have a 2018 22m with 350 and it is way overpowered, and it rides and drives like a dream, by the way i am selling it because of health reasons, the 22m is really laid out nice, we love it, good choice.

Hi Kcscriv,
The E-350s from 2018 & 2019 (and some 2020s?) had a difference of 3,000 pounds of cargo capacity, when compared to the E-450. That E-350 cargo capacity was about 1,280 pounds, which meant that many of those E-350s would be overloaded unless one was very careful with his cargo allocation. The E-450 cargo capacity of about 4,200 pounds means you don't need to worry about overloading, for the most part. To be clear, the tires, the wheels, the transmission, and the engine are the same on both the E-350 and E-450, so it isn't a power issue.
The new model E-350 holds an additional 1,000 pounds, so the difference between that and the new E-450s is just 2,000 pounds. The overload concern on the newest E-350 is no longer an issue.

Eagle 5 its just the two of us and fully loaded we were still well uner load limit according to cat scales at out flying J, I guess if you had 5 or 6 it could make a difference, we were pretty loaded down when I weighed even 3/4, fresh water, working in maintence, for 45 years you learn weight limits, pulling limits etc have a lot of room for error, like a cable rated 1000 pounds can lift all most twice that, just saying.keep safe out there Eagle.
