Hey Butterbean, Thanks! I see you are from the Coleman area. One of my best friends is from Coleman. His father was the District Attorney there for years.

Take Care,
Chris

What a perfect time (engine out) to make it a 496 (8.1) engine, Doesn't cost that much more for the stroker crank....

Gratz on owning your Elandan. Really nice machines I must say. I building my own control panel above the oven in a nice teak wood instead. I was offered a control panel for 800 bux so figured making my own works

I agree, though when it's time for me, I have a 6.5 diesel with mechanical inj. pump, that is just sitting in my shop I want to drop in along with a 4l80 transmission to get the needed overdrive.

Many thanks for the close up pictures. This helps me determine a little easier what to put into my control panel. Like they say, a picture is a thousand words

PS Figured out why my baby is leaking fuel. The Elandan should only have 1 fuel tank selector unit, mine has 2. The Elandan should also have a fuel pressure air box or what they are called located on the front right under the hood compartment. Well mine is missing and 3 hoses are tangled up, were hidden Now to work on that issue a little bit more hehe...

Very nice. I love the blue interior. Mine is more like some kind of pinkish but will probably replace it one of these days when I can convince my wallet to open up for me :-)

Oh going to install a 3rd house battery, think I will install it in the front right compartment, just need to rebuild it a bit. Always good with more power

VERY NICE !!!! Wish I had the 34/35 too, so I could have the dinette. I have the same blue interior colors and materials as yours, but I am going to upgrade to leather on all seating surfaces, and wood laminate flooring, and while I am at it probably redo the cabinet layout. Just time and money is all I need <grin> But I do have the flooring and some new seating already.

Howdy y'all,
Your rigs are better than anything I found while looking.. The best I found was one with flat tires, dead batteries, wouldn't start and no title!!! All of the rest were 'loved' by their owners who thought they were 'valuable'....

Great Elandan thread. Just thought I would add to it.

I purchased an 87 Elandan this summer. The Elandan Clan is growing. New to RVing, I didn't take as much time as I should have inspecting the rig. It had some water damage in the living area walls, the generator wouldn't crank, dash air didn't work, leaky exhaust manifold on the right side, and the brakes barely worked. I had never driven a motorhome before so I declined a test drive before purchasing it.

During the last few months I have managed to get the brakes to work and installed headers to eliminate the exhaust leak. Unfortunately the shop that installed the headers left the starter wire too close to the headers so it melted and shorted out. Just driving it home and bam, no juce and everything died. It is currently in the shop getting that fixed plus a tuneup. Hopefully I will at least be able to drive it to the next repair shop.

With all her problems, I still love my Elandan and am really looking forward to the first trip. I have a complete set of owners manuals so if anyone here needs some info I would be glad to help.

Brian
