I read about some "self-leveling" cabinet paint like Benjamin Moore's Advanced that lets you brush it on without brush strokes remaining after the process. Though it does have a quite long dry time between coats.

Yea, this SW is a self leveler.
I always said if I ever painted cabinets I would use boat paint as it self levels rather nicely when properly applied. But I didn't try it here since the color I want is not available.

I have some white for the kitchen that is self leveling and designed for cabinets. It will be interesting to see how well it works. Had to look it up, it's called "Beyond Paint" and has pretty good reviews. An all in one paint and no sanding required. It says it will stick to anything...

Well, nothing has changed since my last post. I actually came down with some viral symptoms on July 8th and have been struggling since. No test, but we assume it is Covid given the nasty symptoms. I had it early in Jan of 2020 and have been immune since. So, its been 2 weeks and whenever I think I'm over it some new facet emerges to say no, not yet. This evening I'm feeling a bit better so I hope I have finally turned the corner. My wife also has it. As does my oldest son but it is a separate exposure as we hadn't been close together prior to getting the stuff. I know where I picked it up, or at least assume it since it was known.

Hopefully I'll get back to work this week and make some progress.

Well, I did get over the bug and felt just fine. Restoration work has been at a standstill though due to work and my old boat coming home

I have a 1983 Sea Ray 245CF that i bought in 1993. We used it for about 15 years pretty regularly until the kids all grew up, went off to school, and moved out. I moved it from inside storage to outside and sort of ignored it. It has some rot, transom is gone, sole will need to be replaced, and certainly some as yet determined stringer rot. But I've decide to fix her, a sentimental decision. My spare time has been occupied with just getting that situated so I can work on it as I desire. Some disassembly and now I'm getting ready to pull the engine (stern drive). I expect to be back on the Winnebago shortly. I have to order epoxy and glass cloth and since I now have two things needing large quantities I need to see what they both require in order to keep from incurring multiple shipping charges. At least I hope to do that.
