Where does the solar panel wiring terminate in a 1700BH?

I have a 2020 Minnie Winnie 1700BH. It has a solar panel connector on the roof. I have been unable to locate where the solar panel connector wiring goes in the trailer. I've checked behind the load center, behind the radio and under the sink where the water pump is. Does anyone know where the end of the wiring may be found? I'd like to install a solar panel on the roof and charge controller near the load center. Thanks. Ed, Tucson.

Can you take a voltmeter and see if the connector has voltage meaning it is in some way connected to the battery?

Thanks Bigbird65. I was thinking of that. I'll do a test tomorrow morning. Maybe it is wired to the battery already. Plan B is to rig up a wiring "toner" and see if I can sniff/detect where the wiring goes.

We used to call that a tick tracer.

The solar panel should be directly wired to a solar controller. Usually, that solar controller will be close to the inverter and batteries.

If your micro Minnie was “solar prepped” when you bought it, it has the MC4 connectors in the gland on the roof, but it doesn’t come with a solar charge controller, and doesn’t come with solar panels. The wires from the roof go down behind the front cap, and terminate inside a small rectangular luan panel. Kinda standard on all 2020/2021 vintage Micro Minnie’s, so I’d be surprised if you don’t have it. The panel may be labeled solar prep. Remove the panel and find pos & neg 10awg wires. The wires are intended to be connected to a charge controller, which you must buy and mount inside the pass thru. You’ll want to mount it as close as possible to the battery.

Thanks Marine359. I should have noticed the panel earlier. I found the "Solar Ready" panel inside the right front pass-through door on the front wall. The wiring is there with two wires to the battery and two wires to the MC4 solar panel connectors on the roof. All the wires were labeled and it looks like good wiring, all of it is AWG-10 MTW (machine tool wire), which is high quality. The max ratings labeled are 30A. Next step is to find 1 or 2 panels and a charge controller. I like Morningstar controllers since I have seen them survive years of harsh duty at remote telecomm sites.
