What is this on Micro Minnie 2108FBS awning?

It looks like a coaxial plug, if you pull the plastic cap off there is a connector of some sort. There is one on both arms of the awning, not just the one that runs an electrical line to the motor. This is on a 2108FBS. Is it to plug in more exterior lighting?

That’s possible, that it’s for an LED light strip addition.

But also, different awnings have various ways of allowing one to connect an external 12v source to retract an automatic awning, in case your coach batteries go dead. Perhaps that’s what it is? I’d turn to your awning manufacturer”s manual.

Hey OP,

Did you ever figure out what this thing is? I just purchased the same exact model and was wondering the same. I tried checking that plug with a volt meter but couldn't get any voltage to show when the existing awning strip light was turned on.

Would be nice to be able to add more LED lighting out there.
