In my 2019 2108DS, which is likely identical for this, the big black rocker switches in the control panel flip the outside lights on (under the awning) and the interior LED light that's right over your head when you walk in. That light also has its own switch which might be off. The black switch in the bathroom flips on the light above the sink. That light might also have its own switch too.
If the lights have switches right on the light fixture, turn those on first. Then flip the rocker switches and enjoy the remote control. The outside light has no secondary switch that I'm aware of. I suspect you've been manually flipping the switches directly on the light fixtures.
