Slide coming off???? Micro Minnie 2108FBS

Hello..........

We have a Micro Minnie 2108FBS which has one slide. We start have trouble last June when the slide would not come in. After a lot of calls, the slide started working and operated for the rest of the trip out west.

On our last visit to GA, it stopped working again and I was back on the phone with support and the dealer we bought the trailer at. After hours of trial and error we were able to get the slide in and head homeward. We stopped at the dealer who just wanted us to leave and did very little in the way of finding the problem or helping in any way.

Here are the photos which show that the slide is pushing the frame off the trailer while pushing the screws through the seal and this is what the problem is.......Don't live near a dealer but do need help.....

That "image" you attempted to post was not an image but a "mail.google" link that led absolutely nowhere so I have removed it.

The photo should reside on your computer, tablet or phone. If you have a photo at Google or Dropbox or similar cloud location download it (Right click Save Photo As) to your computer, tablet or phone FIRST.

Here's how to post a photo inside an existing thread that you are replying to:

Click scroll down to bottom of a thread to the Quick Reply editor box.
  • At the bottom of the Quick Reply box, click "go advanced" and then scroll down.
  • Click "Manage attachments" A separate window will pop up.
  • Click "browse" Then select the file to be uploaded from your computer, tablet or phone's photo gallery. You may select several photos to upload at the same time by repeating the last step.
  • Click "Upload" After pics have loaded close the pop-up window
  • Click "submit reply" to mount the text of your message - photos will automatically appear at the bottom of your post.

IF you are starting a new thread then you can skip the whole "Go Advanced" instruction because when starting a new thread you are already in the Advanced Editor. So, in this case you just scroll down to the "Manage Attachments" button in the Advanced Editor.

That photo helps. And looks like a serious problem that Winnebago or a Winnebago dealer will have to deal with.

Also, as a tip for photos. When taking photos with your phone. If you take them with the phone horizontal and the home button to the right and the volume up/down buttons facing down then your photos will not appear rotated when uploaded to the web.

If you've already taken the photo with your camera vertical then you should open the photo on your computer or phone and rotate it vertical and SAVE it in the vertical position. Then it will upload correctly.

See... your phone or tablet have a gyro inside and as you rotate your phone it rotates the photo for you to view. However, the phone's camera puts hidden instructions on the photo that tell other devices that the photo is actually taken sideways. So, you upload a sideways photo to the web without knowing it (the web doesn't have a gyro).

We had a similar problem with our Micro Minnie 2108. Slide making severe noise as though it was about to fail and the frame pulling away from the body of the trailer ( anchor screws snapping and/or pulling out. We traded our Micro for a 2529 Minnie, with a more robust slide mechanism. We'll see hoe it works out over the next few months.

We had the same exact issue with the slide on our 2108TB. The slide still worked, but I assumed it would just get worse. Took it to the dealer and they had it repaired in just a few minutes. They just added some beefier screws to keep it in place.
