Nose cap joint - Sealant

Did some roof cleaning the orher day, found blisters in the nosecap lapsealant that opened up
Next time you’re on the roof check it out and fill them if you have them. 2019 model

Yes, checking the sealant every 6 months can save a lot of headaches later on. Great advice!

Covering them with 4" wide Eternabond tape means far fewer trips up topside will be necessary. IMO. Of course it would be best to allow the warranty to expire first.

We bought a unit built in 2017, new, as a 2018 model in July of 2019. I assumed correctly that nobody had done any maintenance on the roof, so before winter, I went up and cleaned, as per spec, with mineral spirits and then resealed everything with Dicor lap sealant—self leveling for the roof/vents, and non-leveling for the edges...we have a TPO ROOF.

I agree Eternabond is the way to go. With this product preparation is key to success
