Murphy Bed Question

We have a 2019 2108DS with a Murphy bed. I’d like to know if anyone has an suggestions on how to clean behind it? There’s space back there - we’ve had the unfortunate experience of losing stuff down there, pillows, flashlights, books etc. It’s quite a challenge to retrieve items without injuring oneself. So I’ve been doing a thorough clean of our trailer and want to clean under there, but I can’t get in there. Any great ideas? Very awkward! Thanks.

If you open the outside storage bay doors you'll see an access panel on each side. Just remove the two wood screws to open each side up and you'll have pretty good access under the bed. It's not great, but you should be able to easily fish out lost items. The photo shows the bed in the upright position. You'll have much better access if you drop the bed down.

Murphy Bed recess space by Murphy's Law

It is very easy to forget that the space behind those two panels are where the head of the bed rotates down when in the upright position. I recalled this in a reply way back and never had an issue except for our last boondock.
I had evidently thrown my backpack on the bed while under transit. Then a few days later I noticed that it was missing. I event started a family discussion, accusing my bro of 'stealing' the durn thingy.
So when we returned we looked into every Nook and Cranny.....could not find it!
Even looking from the head of the bed....
And wouldnt you know it! Right behind the drivers side access panel!
