This is a 2022 so it would be interesting to see if the 2021 was shorter? I know the 2022 included bigger tanks so maybe they added a foot and didn't bother updating anything including the official sticker on the screen door.
It is frustrating because we were trying to stay a little shorter because of tight State and National parks.
The spec's on the Winnebago site now states 29' 6" which is larger than what it said in 2021. It would be interesting if the 2022 grew a foot.

Hi Bob,
Any chance of sending some detail on the drain valve you installed?
Thanks,
John

Would someone who currently have a 2539RG look at the bottom of the shower surround and tell me if it is sealed/caulked to the shower pan? Mine is not, though the top of it is, and I am debating about caulking it.

Thanks!

The bottom of the shower enclosure/shower pan is usually not chalked so water can escape. The lip on the shower pan extends well up behind the shower enclosure (walls). I have seen some pictures where the gap between the shower enclosure and the shower pan appears to be awful wide. Seems like it is
on the valve side, so I guess they figure that the spray will not be in that direction. There may be some type of adhesive tape/gasket that is applied where it cannot be seen. You could probably probe up very carefully with a small wire and see if you contact anything, or contact your dealer to ask what is behind. Not sure all Dealers are always a reliable source for technical information. If that fails, contact Winnebago directly.

Thanks TwoFrom93449. I did remove a 6" chunk of the plywood wallboard from behind the surround on the value side. LOL The surround doesn't appear to be attached to the wall at the bottom as it sticks out anywhere from 1/8" to 1/4" from the backing wall (valve side).

Thanks again.

How did you remove that section of wallboard? Do you have any pictures of that?

It was sticking down a little below the surround, which is loose enough that I could grab the end with some hemostats and pulled it down and out. I will take a picture of it tomorrow and see if I can post it.

Sorry, thought I could reply via Gmail. These Forums are still back in the Netscape days. I can't remember where I got this foam with adhesive on both sides. Maybe McMaster Carr. Available in other thicknesses and colors. Send me an email, [email protected], cant attach pic to Quick Reply!!

No you can’t. You simply need to click on “Go Advanced” to get the full editor to attach photos to a post. Or you can click the “Post Reply” button at the top left of each page in the thread and this will also get you the full editor, as well.

Is that just a scrap that was behind the shower enclosure?

Yes, that was sticking down behind the shower enclosure/surround on the value side. So, I am assuming it is the cutout for the shower valve. As you can see in the picture, the surround sticks out a bit on the bottom,

It is hard to tell from your picture, but it looks like the surround is glued to the shower pan in some places. My suggestion/picture I sent you of the adhesive tape is out! I thought you had access from the back, maybe having removed some of the lower back wall in the adjoining closet. You can chalk it if you want, but I don't think it will ever cause a problem due to the shower pan extending at least an inch (my guess based on residential shower pans) up behind the surround wall.

Good to see other 2529RG owners on this thread. We recently bought a 2021 2529 from the original owner, The trailer came with solar panel, 2 AC units, we have the couch/sofa.
Had a 2019 2606 Mini...like this layout better...rear kitchen, no floor vents, etc.
The original owner installed a hard wired Progressive EMS, nice addition. Transferring the trailer warranty...expires in June.
Trying to decide on a slide topper, never had one, always swept off slide prior to breaking camp. One of the cons of the topper is during windy conditions they can slap on the top of the slider. Also, for folks that have the topper, is there adequate "fall" from the roof for rain draining?
Regarding the 2 AC's, understand I can only one at a time because of the 30amp service?
Look forward to hearing from other 2520 owners.

Gigman,
We installed a slideout topper immediately after picking up our 2021 2529RG last year March. Glad we did, Have had no issue with it at all.
As far as the air conditioner(s), we've only used the bedroom A/C once. Keeps the bedroom cool but that is all. We've not found a need to run both A/C units at the same time so we've no knowledge if you can run both at the same time. __________________
