On our 2529RG (build date June 2022) the external solar connector is outside the front compartment door on the left side. Near the controller (which is on the inside). It isn't marked.

External solar jack.....
On our 2529RG, built earlier in 2022, there is no external solar input in either the storage compartment (under the controller) or on the sidewalk (tried to attach pic).

Ours is just below the controller (you can kind of see it in the picture).
I have a question for you. Can you see the plywood seams in the roof under the rubber roof. I was up there this dusting my panel after driving up a very dusty road Monday on a 5-day boomdocking adventure and noticed the seams seem to be rising a little, stretching the rubber roof membrane. If I stepped on the seam, it would go down and leave a wrinkle in the roof membrane.
Hum, I wonder why the picture gets turned upside down on this forum. LOL

No seams are visible on our roof yet. We are in the shop getting a new underbelly. It had been cut and then repaired with tape that failed, apparently to access the slide rails. Some other interior issues. Now seems we need the exterior solar connector that we don't have. Remembering why we've always bought used!

I will go up there tomorrow and see if I can get some pictures. I called my dealership and had them add it to the list. He said he would add it to my list and, after inspecting it, see what Winnebago says about it.
OH BOY!!!

This has been discussed dozens of times. Your photo is upside down because without realizing it, you took it upside down.
The camera in your phone included orientation data in the photo’s EXIF info. When viewed on your phone or tablet the gyro in your device displays it right side up… but the photo is still upside down. The forum doesn’t have a gyro built in so the photo displays exactly as it was taken.
You have two choices, take the photo right side up or correct the orientation in a photo editor before uploading. Some folks just take a screenshot on the phone and upload that.
“Right side up” is taking the photo with your phone held horizontally with the shutter button on the right hand side of the screen.

Stay the course Hunter! All of your experience with your roof is very interesting for us.
Thanks for the picture. We don't have a port for an external solar panel either below the controller or on an outside wall. Probably just as well, as we can get one added where we want it at WBs expense!
Our trailer is in the shop for a new underbelly. Ours was cut & taped by the dealer to address slide issues that could have been solved by waxing the rails. Also some other "build quality" issues. We went with a firm near us that works on large MHs. We were not willing to wait two months for the WB dealers near us (with very poor ratings) or drive to Northern California to a decent WB shop. Interested to see how WB comes through on covering the cost. Waiting two months of the warranty period doesn't make sense to me.

What were your slide issues? I know ours were a little noisy when we did the walk-through, and they lubricated the rails, but I believe they used grease, not wax.

We bought our trailer in Arkansas. California prices not to our liking, and we are always ready for a trip. Apparently the techs at the dealer thought the slide was "noisy", so they cut into the underbelly. Not sure what they were trying to get to by cutting the underbelly, the plastic on slide rails is accessible when the slide is extended. We spent two days with the trailer in Arkansas documenting issues we could identify, and I surely made them know that I was not buying a trailer with the underbelly in less than new condition. Our slide was made by BAL, so my first call was to BAL. Ryan at BAL said not to use anything but wax on the plastic on the slide rails. They recommended a spray wax that I got at Walmart. Cleaned the rails with brake fluid (per BAL) to remove the Teflon based spray the dealer used and applied the spray wax. Still a little bit of noise on the inner part of the tracks. Shop where our trailer is now said they used a stick wax, and will apply that. With the amount of weight involved it will not be whisper quiet. Noise is nothing severe, work in progress.

You aren't using car wax, are you? When I look on the Wallymart site, I only see car wax. Link??

DuPont Chain-Saver Wax Based Lubricant, sorry our can is in the trailer so can't send a picture. This is what BAL said to use, and also to clean the rails. Will see if stick wax is any better.

TwoFrom, I decided to start a new thread on my roof issue, as I want to keep it on subject and not get chopped up in this thread. It is located at:

Has anyone added another 190watt solar panel to the top of your TT? I am curious where you attached it.

Well, we waxed your TT today. We did it last spring and plan on doing it twice a year.
I am curious what people use on the black metal and black plastic parts? I haven't done anything to the black plastic parts and tried a little wax on a small section of the black metal parts but didn't like the results. It may be because our wax is for fiberglass and gel coat surfaces.
Anyone use anything special on the black parts?

Try Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer. Think it is at WM. Keeps all the black plastic on my 1999 F250 looking great. Probably use it once a year.

My trailer was small (2100BH) so I wiped the whole thing down with Wash Wax All (Aero Cosmetics) every couple of weeks. I actually used it on the truck too. It’s good for any surface you can wet.

I have seen the "restorer" stuff, but it actually doesn't need restoring right now. I suppose it will work as a preservative.

So, according to the Winnebago drawing, Winnebago put my solar panel in the wrong place. It was supposed to be in the middle of the roof, with an additional panel beside it as an option. They put it halfway between the two spots and put the connection too far back from the front!!
Has anyone else looked at their panel placement?
