I would not if you are talking about sitting at the dining table of the slide or whatever you have in thw slide space while it is closed yes you can. If you wNt to sit on top of the slide I would say no . Ypu can retract it without I t pushing it I believe you use your bar that you use for your stabilizer jacks. I have a 2108ds. I do t know for sure exactly the model you are talking about but they all are pretty similar. Lastly you asked about maintenance.
. I co tasted winnebago directly to ask about what to use on the tracks there response was to just check them before closing the slide. They said not to lubricate them with anything just keep them clean. I have an awning on my slide and that helps tremendously. Good luck
