Micro Minnie 2108FBS Full or Queen Size Bed?

I think I'm in trouble. My wife loves our old 19'+ towable camper with an east/west bed. We went to a dealer to look at a used 1706 Micro Minnie with the same basic floor plan as ours but with updated features. We decided we liked our old camper better, but of course we started also looking at the new campers on the lot. We liked the 2108FBS with the N/S bed the best, but didn't really want a slide-out. The dealer presented his sales pitch and we decided to go for it. As we wait for the dealer prep to be completed l've been doing further reading and discovered some floor plans show a very short queen bed and others show a full bed. If it is indeed a full bed, my wife wants our old camper back. So l'm turning to the forum to ask what is the real size of the bed?

Look at the Winnebago website for each model, it will show you the bed size. You didn't mention which Micro Minnie 2108 model you were going to purchase.

The Micro Minnie 2108 comes in 4 flavors:
2108BH - Bunk House - bed size 54x74 "Full" Size
2108TB - Twin Beds - Two Twin Beds can be joined to make a "king"
2108FBS - 60x74 "Queen" bed
2108DS - 54x74 Murphy Bed

The Micro Minnie 2108FBS is the only one with a north south bed and it is a RV Queen. A real queen bed is 60 inches wide by 80 inches long while an RV Queen is 60x74. It's typical for RVs to have unique RV bed sizes.

Thank you. I have seen those floor-plans you mention. I have also seen floor plans showing a full bed. I have seen a video review that also fudged on the bed size. I was hoping an actual owner of this model would chime in and confirm the real mattress size. A typical RV queen is 60x75. The bed in this model is a 74. I'm trying to confirm the actual width.

My 2024 2108 FBS had the short queen 60 wide x75 long.
I added a 6” support and new longer board under the new std size queen mattress 60x80.
Plenty of room for it and now way more comfortable.
Only drawback is the gap between the bottom of bed and the slide, when retracted, is less. Still walkable though, and usually the slide is extended when sleeping.

As others have answered, the ‘original’ mattress is 60x74 otherwise known as an ‘RV Queen’. However, good news — you can EASILY install a true 60x80 Queen. You simply need to replace the board underneath the mattress with another 1/2” / 13mm board. All the original hardware (hinge, screws, and shocks) can be reused.

Also, there’s still plenty of room for the slide to close. I only wish Winnebago did this from factory so the under bed storage would be 6” longer.

Yep, I did the same. We are now using a standard queen size "Sleep Number" bed (which we inherited from my mother-in-law) and it works great! Plenty of room to get by between the bed and the counter, and it doesn't hit the slide-out at all.

When we first put in a queen size mattress, it was quite a bit heavier and I was looking at replacing the lifts under the bed to better support it, but then we inherited a Sleep Number mattress. This is MUCH lighter than the original mattress from the trailer!

The only drawback to the sleep number bed is that if we change altitude by a large amount, we have to reset the inflation on the bed. If we don't have external power, we just plug the bed directly into the truck's built-in 110 system using an extension cable (with the truck running, of course) and it works great!

We bought a sersweet hybrid, 8” off Amazon, medium firm. The original struts work with extended frame, not too heavy, and can still use the side ‘tables’.
Best to make sure the struts are set so when closed the oil in them keeps the seal on the rod wet, by gravity.
Learned that from using them in industry.

It has gotten really, really, firm, but hasn't popped yet. Sometimes, if we know we're decending a lot, we drain away some of the air ahead, but usually we don't bother with it unless it seems to require it.

Ok, here are the facts. The mattress is a Lippert Evergreen ST (smooth top?) Lindsay Marble 60" x 74". The platform is not 60" x 74". In the center it is 73" long. On the edges it is 65" because the edges at the foot are not squared off. For width at the top it is 81 1/2", wall to wall under the wardrobes. The liftable part of the platform for inside storage is 57" wide. The bottom edge is 41" due to the cut off corners.
My first impression of the mattress is that it is pretty firm. On the web I found a Tochta Divini rv queen foam mattress that is split so each side can be individually arranged to be firmer or softer. Sounds interesting, but I don't know anything about it.

in 2022 when we got ours, my wife ordered a queen size Nectar mattress and it's been great. I have been too lazy to(or busy!) to extend the bed platform. it's a bit thick and we can't really reach under the side cabinets but it's super comfortable.
