Hike 170s Manual - What am I missing?

The manual I have downloaded is for Winnebago towable and has no specific information. For example, I don't know if I have a water heater bypass, or, where they placed the low point drains. In reality, I do know where they are due to exploration, but it would be nice if Winnebago actually provided manuals that include information about where these things are and how to maintain.

Is there a resource that has specific information to my Hike 170 instead of a generic manual which doesn't really give instructions?

You can call towable customer care and request all of the specific schematics for electrical, plumbing, etc. for your model. They will ask for your vin number. They sent all of the pdf files to me for my Micro Minnie.
Hope it’s helps.

Yes it would! Winnebago does produce detailed Operator’s Manuals for all of its motorized RVs. It seems their Towables have never had this kind of resource.

Winnebago purchased Sunnybrook Travel Trailers in 2010 to create their Towables division in Middlebury, Indiana. And since Sunnybrook never had such manuals Winnebago never made this a priority.

I don’t know about other TT manufacturers, but the three TTs I bought a number of years ago also did not come with detailed specific manuals. All I got was a bag of paperwork from different manufacturers of products installed on the trailer.

Like many other companies, Winnebago seems to adhere to the “that’s the way we’ve always done it” philosophy.

My bags of Winnebago docs contains manuals from all the different products/devices used in my trailer. IE Dometic, The Youtube videos on "fixing" RV appliances has been very useful. Craig

Thin dirt line, We’re you able to get a wiring diagram (schematic) for 12v branches off the fuse panel? I asked them for wiring diagrams for my 1808fbs, they only sent me one for the chassis. And a drawing of the 12v appliances, lights, etc.

Wiring Diagram

R1Camper,
I did get a wiring diagram for all of the 12V branches. While not very detailed as far as actual wire routing, it does provide the wire size for each powered device and where the device is located. It also provided amperage draw for each device. It has been very helpful.
