Dometic WH-6GEA Whater Heater Altitude Issues

Afternoon Folks!

Our last trip in the 1708FB was at 9300 ft elevation. The water heater (that we have never used before) wasn't staying lit. Sure seemed like a thermocouple issue. Wound up putting a pot of water on the cooktop. For reference the furnace had no issue at all.

After I got home I did some research and wound up replacing the thermal cut off switch. Thought I had it fixed as the water heater was working perfectly until I closed the outside cover. After a minute the flame went out and it would not stay lit.

Turns out the water heater works fine so long as the outside cover is open. Short of adding a ventilation hole in the cover I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if there was an adjustment or jet kit for higher altitudes?

Thanks & have a great day!
