Bed/Mattress Size

As I'm shopping for a used Minnie or Micro Minnie can anyone please confirm the actual mattress size on the four configurations

2013 - 2015

2101DS (Murphy)- 54 x 74

2101FBS (Fixed)

2016 - 2017

2106DS (Murphy)

2106FBS (Fixed)

Thanks,

I have found that there are multiple sizes for rv queen and rv king beds, best bet is to measure your existing mattress and then order the same size. I know it is frustrating but that is the safest option.

Crazy isn't it a queen can be 54 x 74, 60 x 74, 60 x 80.

I do not have either of the four models of trailers listed above but looking for a used one. The key ingredient it must have a 60" wide queen minimum.

Winnebago Brochures states the beds in the 2101 and 2106, in either the DS or FBS have queen beds.

The exterior width on the 2101 is 7.5 feet wide and the Exterior Width on the 2106 is 7 feet wide.

This would lead me to believe the queen in the 2101DS/FBS is 60" wide and the queen in the 2106DS/FBS is 54" wide.

So if the 2106 has a 54" wide queen, that will rule out buying a Micro Minnie Model 2106.

I have no knowledge of the mattress sizes. It seems like you will really need to go to a dealer and measure to find the correct size you are looking at.

Or call Lichtsinn RV https://www.lichtsinn.com/ explain your situation and maybe they can come up with accredit sizing for you.

Good Luck

Thanks, problem here due to Covid, dealers have absolutely no inventory to view. I'm going blind, closest used 2101 Minnie's for sale are 16 hours away. 2106 Micro Minnies just as far if not further.

Thanks,

My 2019 2108DS original mattress was exactly 54" wide by 74" long as is shown in the floorplans on the Winnebago website. I did a tiny mod to allow for 75" so I could put a real full size mattress in it. I'd be pretty confident that the floorplans that show 60" wide really are 60" wide.

Now whether or not you can replace the mattress with a better one is another matter, and you'll have to ask to find someone who has the specific model. I know those who have newer 2108DS models have a "split" mattress that actually folds up in the middle. I'm not sure I'd call that a "murphy bed" but it is a fold-up thing.

I usually look at RV-USA for specs when I'm in a hurry. I guess it's in my browser history. So maybe look there if you can't find the specific model year at the winnebago website

Thank You,

Would you happen to know your real tongue weight with full propane, battery/ies and what options are included in your build that would effect tongue real weight.

This thread was created as a topic for bed/mattress size(s).

It is appreciated if you can please continue to utilize one of the three tongue weight threads you've created. Many members have taken the time to post thoughtful, exhaustive responses to your questions.

If you feel you're still not getting the answers you're looking for, I recommend going to the mothership at https://www.irv2.com/forums/

Thank you and good luck!

New mattress

Purchased this RV King mattress and have been sleeping on it straight for 5 weeks in FL temps. I'm happy to report that it has met every expectation and I couldn't be more pleased.

High quality manufacturing (made in the USA) with quick delivery.

Semi-firm and sleeps cool. No movement when my SO turns over. Well worth the money and highly recommended. Hoping this holds up for the life of the camper.
