Can you post a photo? I don't feel like mine is what you'd call wrinkly when it rolls up. Sounds like something is wrong.

I don't think there is a trick for that. They only close one way and the wrinkles are not creases in the fabric. When the awning goes out it is very smooth and wrinkle free.
As tinglett said, you may have something wrong.

I’d it a new rig and new awning? If not check to see if it is closing evenly. You may need to reposition the adding on the roller. Not a big deal.

If you awning rolls up wrinkeled it means it is not "square" with the motorhome. It can be adjusted by taking out the set screws where the fabric mounts in the channel of you motorhome and slide it slightly left or right......a little bit goes a long way. Easy DIY job.

I am seeing the same issue with my new 2021 MM 2108DS awning having wrinkles when I close it. I will have to look to see if their are locking screws to reposition it.
I also just noticed in the front awning bracket is a black wire that looks like it has some kind of an end that looks like something plugs into it. I was wondering what that wire is?
anyone else have that wire?

Be very careful with your awning, it has some very strong return springs and you do not want to accidentally release them.
