Atwood Adjustable Thermostat for Water Heater

Most of you have an Atwood water heater in your Minnie. They come with a fixed thermostat set for 140 degf. This can scald you and is dangerous for small children. There is an easy and simple fix for this. I installed this variable thermostat in about 15 minutes. It can be adjusted from about 110 degf to 160 degf. I set mine on letter B and when the electricity and propane went off the water was 120 degf. Perfect! Note: Always be sure your water heater is full before you turn it on.

Here is a good.

Here are photos of my installation on our 2250DS.

Old thermostat before removable, keep it for backup.

New thermostat installed.

Thanks! I actually called Dometic directly and they helped me get set up with the part, but this will help me install it. My 3 year old will be very happy
