Poor mans camera install, for those interested this is the AUTO-VOX TD-2

It's OK, but does the job for $100, I used the existing wiring in the 2108FBS,
The power unfortunately only works when the rear lights are on, so it's not powered all the time. even when you buy the direct bolt on camera system.
Sure wish Winnebago would have that plug powered permanently.


The TD-2 heavily relies on objects around you for WIFI to work, so when parking it works
flawless but on the highway it's hit and miss

I'm about to do a 2106DS, when the weather dries out some. What can you tell me about the wiring to the lights? Is it a decent gauge wire? Are there some sort of plugs between the light and the chassis wiring?

Hi How are you ?, the wiring is not all that thick but pretty simple, one red wire one black wire connected to a voyager system plug. I cut the voyager plug off and soldered the AUTO VOX camera to it and used the Voyager Blind panel to mount the camera to.

I took power from the clearance light above the camera. Daytime running lights has clearance lights always on and powers camera. Short run of wire and well sealed . Been working for 6years. Kim

I was just trying to install a backup camera today on my 2106DS, replacing the center marker light with a camera/light module. Little did I know that I needed to bring a multimeter with me because Winnebago doesn't use color coded wiring--two black wires. One's connected to a white and one a green. I'm assuming the green is ground, but figure I should test.
