2108DS water leak at pump with wrong clamps installed

I have 2021B 2108DS that was manufactured 8/20 that has a water leak on the outlet of the pump fitting. The hose in reinforced vinyl tubing that has a 17.5 PEX OE clamp installed. I've done a lot of research and haven't found anywhere that says you can use PEX fitting on this type of hose, should only be used on PEX type tubing. I tried to use a regular hose clamp while camping but it still leaked.

Has anyone else had this same issue and how did you fix it?

Wow, my 2021b was made in the same month as yours.
The only suggestion I can offer is to remove the clamp from the winterizing hose and try to re-use it on the elbow fitting. If that works, you can then probably order the part from WBGO customer service.

I got the original pex clamp off and will try a regular hose clamp in its place. With the enforced vinyl tubing having a larger OD than regular PEX tubing Winnebago is trying to use a larger 5/8 Pex Clamp to compensate for the larger OD diameter hose. The vinyl hose isn't made for PEX fitting type fitting and I bet there are more out the that have the same problem. They should have used barbed fittings for the reinforced vinyl hose.

Mine is the same but before I took off the hose I noticed the hose wasn't cut square which made the clamp fit flush on the end of the hose. Still the wrong clamp for that type of hose and fitting which can cause leaks because there is no way to tighten the clamp if it's leaking like mine was. Winnebago is using a 5/8 pex clamp on larger OD non pex hose and hoping it doesn't leak. Per Pex and other manufacturers of this type of clamp they should only be used on PEX hose not reinforced nylon like we see in our pictures.

Winnebago uses PEX hose clamps on the reinforced nylon flex that they run on both sides of the water pump, mine had minor leak, too. Replaced with really good stainless steel hose clamps, and could get them tight enough not to leak.

If I remember right, I put two wraps of black electrical tape around the fittings before pushing on the nylon flex tubing since the diameter of the nylon flex was a little bigger than the PEX that the fitting was intended for to help make it seal .
